Returns & Refund Policy

Thank you for your purchase. We hope you are happy with your purchase. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, we will gladly accept your return within 30 days of receiving your item(s). You can also cancel your order any time before it has been prepared for shipment completely free of charge.

Please note that certain products are not refundable as specified in the exceptions section of this policy.

CANCELLATIONS

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can refund you in full before your order is prepared for shipment. Products are packed and prepared for shipment within 24 to 48 hours. You can reach our agents during business hours through our chat or at support@modernlyhomes.com.

If your order has been packed and prepared for shipment, it may still be canceled, but a restocking and administrative fee of 15-30%, depending on the product purchased, will apply.

RETURNS

All returned items must be postmarked within 30 days of receiving your item(s). To be eligible for a return, items must be in their original, unused condition, complete with all original tags and labels attached.

Please be aware that you will be responsible for the return shipping costs and a restocking fee of 30%, which will be deducted from your refund.

EXCEPTIONS

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Assembled or Partially Assembled Furniture
  • Items without original packaging, original tags, or labels
  • Items that have been used.

RETURN PROCESS

To initiate a return, follow these steps:

1.- Contact our customer service team at support@modernlyhomes.com  to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

2.- Securely pack the item in its original packaging, include the proof of purchase, and label the package with the RMA number. Using the original packaging is crucial to protect the item from damage during transit back to the warehouse.

3.- Send your return to the address provided by our support team.

Please remember that returns cannot be accepted without a valid RMA number.

REFUNDS

After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your refund. Shipping fees as well as additional service fees paid for Threshold Shipping or White Glove service will not be refunded.

As noted above, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs and a restocking fee of  30%, which will be deducted from your refund.

Please allow at least seven (7) days from the receipt of your item in the warehouse to process your return. We will notify you by email when your return has been processed. Refunds typically appear on your credit card statement within 7 to 14 days after the return has been processed. 

DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED PRODUCTS

If you receive a defective or damaged product, please contact us using the contact us at support@modernlyhomes.com within 24 hours of delivery to arrange a refund and a return shipping label.

Please provide the following information:

  • Order number
  • What item(s) are damaged
  • Photos of the box and/or the item showing the damage

Please inspect the box and product immediately upon receipt to meet the 24-hour reporting window. Please note any marks of damage to the packaging on the receipt document when you sign at the time of delivery. This step is crucial for all damage claims and is required by vendors, insurance companies, and shipping companies to honor and validate claims.

Take pictures of the damaged box or product. This is required so we can address the issue with our carrier and/or the manufacturer.

Prompt reporting is crucial to expedite the return process. In such cases, you will not be charged for return shipping.

MISSING PARTS

If the product is missing parts, please email us at support@modernlyhomes.com and provide:

  • The order number
  • What item(s) or parts are missing

We’ll work with the manufacturer to obtain the missing parts and ship them to you.

When you are purchasing from Modernly Homes, you are acknowledging the following of the Exchange Agreement:

  • I understand that I am required to inspect the package and item(s) upon delivery and document any damage on the receipt document that I sign. I agree to take photographs of the damage and submit them to Modernly Homes within 24 hours of receiving the product.
  • I understand that products need to be returned unopened and unused, in their original packaging, complete with all original tags and labels attached
  • I understand that if my order has left the warehouse, I am unable to receive a full refund. 
  • I understand that if I return my order once it has shipped, I will be responsible for paying any return shipping fees and a restocking fee of 30%.
  • I understand that certain products, as listed in the exception section, cannot be returned.
